How to play Four in a Row
Drop discs and connect four — the easiest game to learn, and the perfect starter.
Setup
Seven columns by six rows, standing upright.
On your turn
- Choose a column; your disc falls to the lowest empty spot.
Special rules
- A match is two games with the starter swapped. At 1–1 a third game decides, with the starter chosen at random. Still level: stakes are refunded.
Winning, draws and losing
- Four of your discs in a row — across, down or diagonally — wins the game.
Online rules and fair play
- Short clocks, and play is limited to the lowest-stake cities because a perfect solver exists.
- A disconnected player has 60 seconds to return before forfeiting.
