01 The object of a duel
Colour Clash is a head-to-head duel between two players. One player (the creator) secretly chooses red or yellow and stakes an amount. A second player (the joiner) stakes the same amount and guesses which colour was chosen.
- If the joiner guesses correctly, the joiner wins.
- If the joiner guesses incorrectly, the creator wins.
There are exactly two colours and one is always chosen, so the chance of a correct guess is one in two. ARIPLEX never takes a side in a duel and has no stake in which player wins.
02 Sealing the colour
When a creator posts a duel, the platform generates a random 32-byte seed and computes a SHA-256 hash of the duel identifier, the chosen colour and that seed, joined by colons:
commitment = SHA-256( gameId : colour : serverSeed )
This commitment is published to the lobby immediately, before any opponent can join. The colour and the seed are withheld until the duel settles.
The commitment fixes the colour. Because the seed is random and secret, the hash reveals nothing about which colour was chosen — and because changing the colour would change the hash, neither the creator nor ARIPLEX can alter it after seeing a guess.
03 Joining a duel
Any player other than the creator may join an open duel by matching the stake and naming a colour. Joining and guessing are a single action. There is no step in which a duel is joined but not yet guessed, so a duel can never be left hanging.
A duel is claimed by the first join the server accepts. If two players attempt to join the same duel at the same moment, exactly one succeeds and the other is told the duel is gone. The unsuccessful player is never charged.
04 Settlement and the rake
Settlement is immediate. Both stakes form the pot, ARIPLEXdeducts a rake of 7.5%, and the remainder is credited to the winner.

Uganda has no coin smaller than a shilling, so the rake is rounded up to the whole shilling and the winner's payout absorbs the rounding. At the stakes shown here that is a difference of at most one shilling. The loser receives nothing; their stake is already in the pot.
05 Stakes
The minimum stake is 1,000 UGX and the maximum is 7,000,000 UGX. The standard rungs are:

A creator may also enter any other whole-shilling amount. Both players in a duel always stake exactly the same amount; there is no partial matching.
06 Duels nobody joins
An open duel expires 24 hours after it is posted. On expiry the full stake is returned to the creator, no rake is charged, and the colour and seed are revealed so the record remains verifiable. A creator may also cancel their own duel at any time before it is joined, with the same outcome.
07 Interruptions and disputes
Settlement is a single atomic database transaction: it either completes in full or does not occur at all. If the platform is interrupted mid-settlement, the duel is left in its previous state and no partial transfer can survive.
If a duel is void through platform fault, both stakes are returned in full and no rake is charged. Every settled duel is recorded in an append-only, hash-chained log; altering any past result would invalidate every entry recorded after it.
To raise a dispute, contact support@ariplex.app with the duel identifier. Every settled duel is independently verifiable from its published commitment and seed, so a disputed result can be checked by anyone without taking our word for it.
08 Verifying a result
After settlement, the colour and the seed are published alongside the original commitment, on the duel itself. Anyone holding those three values can recompute the hash independently, in any terminal:

If the result matches the published commitment, the duel was sealed before it was played. If it does not match, the duel did not settle honestly and you should report it immediately.
09 Who may play
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must not be self-excluded, and must not be an employee ofARIPLEX LIMITED or a member of their immediate household.
- One account per person. Multiple accounts are prohibited.
- Deliberately duelling against your own second account, or coordinating duels to move funds between accounts, is prohibited and will result in closure and forfeiture.
